Flexing muscles and imagination
An important element of the park is a leisure area designed to provide kids with a number of options to just be a kid and have fun. Located just west
of the ball fields will be an open green space for kids to run and play. Plans are being made to add two playgrounds, exercise stations and a spray park.
The spray park will provide water activities for children and adults, a place to cool off on a hot day. This series of water jets will also provide an attractive visual appeal to the park.
Many residents walk, jog, run or bike to improve health and wellness.
Linking all areas of the park are paved trails, providing safe routes off the motorized travel routes in town. Monroe is also the center leg of a
multi-se trail network being planned from Lake Red Rock to Prairie City. Our park will provide another opportunity to link these efforts.
